Use Your Reolink Camera Without a Subscription

Reolink cameras stream locally over RTSP and ONVIF, and most record to a microSD card or a Reolink NVR without any subscription. Reolink Cloud is an optional add-on that only stores clips off-site. Cancel it and your camera keeps working on your own network.

Does Reolink lock your camera when you cancel?

No. Reolink Cloud handles remote viewing and off-site storage — not your local stream. Cancel it and the camera keeps working on your own network over RTSP/ONVIF.

Reolink RTSP and ONVIF stream URLs

Main stream:

ONVIF: ONVIF on port 8000 by default; enable RTSP/ONVIF under Settings → Network → Advanced → Server Settings.

Reolink gotchas worth knowing

Battery models (Argus, Go) sleep and only stream when awake — RTSP is unavailable on standby; PoE/plug-in models stream continuously.
Some newer models default RTSP off or use H.265 — enable RTSP and pick H.264 for the widest compatibility.
For codecs other than h264, the path swaps to h265Preview_01_main.

How to cancel Reolink Cloud and keep the camera

Cancel Reolink Cloud in the app (or let it lapse) — local SD/NVR recording is unaffected.
In the Reolink app or web UI, enable RTSP and ONVIF under Network → Advanced.
Point RSC at the RTSP/ONVIF URL above.
