Use Your Blink Camera Without a Subscription

Blink (owned by Amazon) has no RTSP or ONVIF — but it's an unusual cloud camera in one good way: the Sync Module 2 gives you free LOCAL clip storage on a USB stick, so you don't strictly need a subscription to save motion clips. There's still no live third-party stream, though.

Does Blink lock your camera when you cancel?

Mostly yes. Blink cameras don't expose RTSP or ONVIF, so RSC and VLC can't connect to a live Blink feed. Storage, however, isn't cloud-only: the Sync Module 2 records motion clips to a local USB drive for free.

What happens when you cancel
